Day 1


Arriving at Sofia airport and transfer to the Hotel. City tour of Sofia in the historical center, Boyana church and the Bells monument.

Day 2

Sofia – Rila monastery – Bansko

Start at 09:00 in the morning and tour of Rila Monastery. Lunch in the area and transfer to Bansko. Bansko is located on the Northern foots of Pirin Mountain, amazing nature, a lot of possibilities for hiking with deferent level of difficulty. Bansko is also an old town with authentic atmosphere.

Day 3

Bansko – Belica bears park – Bansko

On this day we could start at 9:00. Transfer to Belica for about 40 min. We will visit the Dancing Bears rescue Park. It is an interesting and educational tour for about 1 hour. Lunch in the area in a small family guest house where we will be invited by the owners with traditional homemade meals, but also with folklore music and customs.  Transfer back to Bansko and free afternoon.

Day 4

Bansko – Plovdiv

Start at 8:00 and transfer with the car to a station of the Train. The Train ride will be only in the last 30 min part, which is also the most beautiful. Transfer to Plovdiv for about 1 hour.

Lunch and city tour for about 2 hours. Free afternoon.

Day 5

Plovdiv – Rhodope mountain – Plovdiv

Start at 9:00. Transfer to a small village in the heart of Rhodope mountain for about 2 hours. The village Gela is famous with the folklore festival with the music instrument Gaida. In the town near by we will visit some traditional craftsmen. Lunch and transfer back. Free evening.

Day 6

Plovdiv – Nessebar

Start at 9:00. Transfer to Nessebar on the Black sea coast for about 3 hours. Nessebar is a small historical town with very old roots. The Old Town of Nessebar is an UNESCO site. We will visit there a lot of ancient and medieval sites and will enjoy the spirit of the Black Sea.

Day 7

Nessebar – Varna

Start at 9:00. Transfer to Varna for about 2 hours. City tour of Varna, which is the biggest Bulgarian city on the Black Sea and one of the oldest cities in Europe. Here in Varna is found the Oldest Gold of the Word – 6000 years old. Will visit the museum, the Roman Thermae baths and the Cathedral there.

Day 8

Varna – Shumen – Veliko Tarnovo

Start at 8:30.Transfer to Shumen area with first stop at Madara Horseman, which is an UNESCO site and one of the symbols of Bulgaria. It is a sight from the times of the establishment of the First Bulgarian Imperia 7th-8th centuries. After Madara, we will stop on the monument in Shumen dedicated also of the establishment of Bulgaria. It is maybe the most unique monument of Bulgaria(if we don’t count Buzludzha).

Transfer to Veliko Tarnovo in the afternoon. Free time in the evening.

Day 9

Veliko Tarnovo – Yogurt tasting in Bogenci – Veliko Tarnovo

Start at 9:00 with city tour of Veliko Tarnovo and Arbanasi village nearby.

Transfer to a small village for about 40 min. There we will visit a small family dairy and will learn everything about the Bulgarian Yogurt. The guide there will show us there small private museum for traditional tools and everyday stuffs from the past and also the church of the village, which has an amazing story. Transfer back to Veliko Tarnovo.

Day 10

Veliko Tarnovo – Sofia

Transfer back to Sofia for about 3:30 hours. On the way we will stop on a cave, known as “The Eyes of God”. Free afternoon in Sofia.
